The boys were being so sweet today and I caught them playing together on the firetruck. Aidan loved that his brother was giving him a ride. He laughed so hard and would get mad when Nick stopped moving. One of the best things about being a parent has got to be seeing your children interact lovingly with each other. It just melts my heart. I hope they stay close forever.

Easter Egg Hunt
Yesterday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt in Santa Maria. The boys had fun filling there baskets with eggs. They had pony rides and clowns and a Magic Show and bouncy houses and lots of great games for the kids to play. The kids also were able to go in the firetrucks and police cars which was probably Nick's favorite part of the whole thing. The kids were so worn out they both fell asleep in the car on the way home. Nick is happy that we have 2 more egg hunts this week on base because there were so many kids that they only got a couple of eggs each.

Madison's Birthday Party
Nick went to his classmate Madison's birthday party today. He had a great time. They had a Scooby-Doo Theme and had a big BBQ. It was almost 80 today and the perfect day for a party. They had a bouncy house and a pinata and lots of fun games for the kids. Nick particularly loved the scavenger hunt because his team won. Aidan just kept stealing people's cheetos even if they fell on the floor. He loved all the kids running around and his new favorite food is watermelon. They had close to 40 kids and over 100 people total. It was a little crazy but everyone had a good time. Here are some pictures from the party.

Aidan's Idea of Sharing
We watched Hannah and Colton today and we were playing outside and Aidan decided he wanted Hannah to share his firetruck and instead of waiting his turn he decided he would just hop in and hope Hannah would hop out. Luckily, Hannah is the sweetest girl on earth and didn't care one bit. Once he realized that she wasn't moving he decided it was too cramped and got out and rode his trike instead. Obviously, we need to work on sharing some more.

Nick riding without training wheels
Nick has finally decided that he wants to ride his bike without training wheels. He is doing so good without them. He usually wants Jeremy and I to help him start but then he can ride quite a ways without help. He still falls over quite a bit especially when stopping is involved. We just let him ride on the flat side of the street so far but hopefully a few more weeks of help and he will have it down pat. He keeps talking about going on bike rides with his cousin Jenna this summer.
