SAASS Christmas Party

My friend Tanya.
Some of my favorite Prattville Ladies.
My running inspiration, and wonderful friend Meg.
Two of my best pals Amy(left) and Katie(right).

Last night Jeremy's work had their Christmas party. We had a wonderful social hour and sit down dinner followed by a band and dancing. We had to bring a $20 gift so everyone went home with a gift and a class ornament with the class logo that was made. We ended up with some really nice wine glasses and a wine airator. I had a great time hanging out with all my friends and it is always nice to get dressed up and spend a night out without your kids. A big thank you to my friend Paulette who watched my kids for me. And I really did have this cute little black dress on but it was freezing in the ballroom so I ended up wearing my sweater most of the evening.

Price's Birthday Party

Yesterday Aidan's friend from church Price had his 4th birthday party at the play center at the gym. Both boys had a great time running themselves ragged. They were thoroughly exhausted when we left. They enjoyed the cute construction theme and especially the cupcakes. Happy Birthday Price!

Breakfast with Santa

Yesterday we went to Breakfast with Santa out on base. The kids had a great time eating pancakes and doing crafts and games and face painting and of course seeing Santa. They both got presents from Santa and really enjoyed themselves.

Winter Wonderland at McWane Science Center

Yesterday we spent the day at the McWane Science Center in Birmingham. They had their winter wonderland exhibit up which included a huge model railroad display, pretend ice fishing, ice skating and a snow play area. The boys think they are now ready to go play in the real snow at Grandma's house. That is until they experience how cold it has to be to really see snow. They also enjoyed all of their usual favorites at the science museum. Nick loves the mind ball game and Aidan loves to play in the kiddie zone with the boats in the water. I love the touch tank with the sharks and sting rays. Both boys enjoyed playing in the new blue screen soccer game and going down the giant slippery slide. It was a great way to spend the Holiday weekend!

Roll Tide Roll!

We are bleeding Crimson today! Go Alabama! Roll Tide Roll! For our Northern friends Alabama plays their rival Alabama school Auburn today in the Iron Bowl. Nick picked sides when we moved here and hasn't flinched yet. He cheers so hard for them no matter if they win or lose but he has been talking trash all week about how the Auburn Tigers are going to lose. For his sake I hope Alabama pulls it off. The elephant is in our neighbors yard and my kids are obsessed with it. They get so excited every Saturday when he puts it up so we went over and took a picture of it today.

My Little Engineer

Aidan has been obsessed with trains again lately especially since we finally moved his train table out into the dining room where he has the space to move around it. He spends most of his day trying to convince one of us to play trains with him which involves him bossing you around the table and telling you where to move your trains and what they are supposed to say. He loves to build different tracks but often gets frusterated when he can't figure out how to get it all hooked up together. I am sure all this train obsession comes from their Grandpa since both boys have loved trains. Choo-Choo!

My Little Turkey

Aidan had a Thanksgiving program and lunch at his school today. His class was all dressed up like turkeys. They were so cute! They marched around and sang 10 Thanksgiving songs. Aidan's favorite song was the acorn song. He has been singing that song all week. Then they had lunch with turkey, corn, cornbread muffins, gingerbread cookies, and applesauce. It was a great way to start off our vacation Holiday week. I am so thankful for my sweet boy!
