Nick at T-Ball

I took some pictures at T-Ball today. Nick is loving every minute of it. Aidan thinks he is on the team too. I tried to get some video of Nick hitting but I only caught a couple minutes of him running on the bases. I'll try and get some better video next week.

Day at the Beach

We spent the afternoon at Minuteman Beach today. It was another gorgeous day here. It was in the mid-eighties and there was no wind at all. The boys had such a good time. Nick kept having foot races with his Daddy and both boys built a big sand castle. Aidan tried to follow his brother everywhere but his little legs couldn't keep up in the thicker sand. The water was really cold but that didn't seem to bother Nick at all as he was jumping through the waves. We came home and grilled up some tri-tip. It definitely feels like summer here. I hope it stays this nice through the holiday weekend as Jeremy has a 4 day weekend.

Police Week BBQ and Carnival

Today the base had a parade and BBQ in honor of Police Week and Armed Forces Day. The parade had a bunch of firetrucks and police cars and military vehicles and they threw out a bunch of candy to the kids. The parade ended at Cocheo Park where they had bouncy castles and all kinds of fun stuff for the kids to do. Both boys had a blast. Nick got a triceratops painted on his face and participated in the balloon toss and egg race. They had hamburgers and chips and beans and desserts for dinner. After dinner we headed over to the park to play for awhile. Both boys are really enjoying all this warm weather and want to be outside every minute of everyday. The watermelon pictures are from a few nights ago when we grilled out.

Nick's Mother's Day Breakfast

Nick had a program at school today for Mother's Day. They sang a bunch of songs and then we had breakfast with them. It was really sweet. They made a bunch of cute presents for the Moms with the kids pictures in them. Nick has been waiting for this day all week. He kept telling me he had something for me but it was a secret. He was all smiles and so proud of himself today. The songs were so cute I almost cried. It was the perfect Mother's Day present. The video is of one of the songs they sang. Sorry there is no sound though because it was from my digital camera.

Best Buds

I caught the boys being sweet the other day while they were playing in the laundry basket while I folded clothes. I love when they are playing nicely with each other.

Aidan's Hospital Stay

Aidan was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday for respiratory complications from his GERD. We just came home this evening. He has coxsackie virus and all the blisters in his throat caused him to not eat or drink for days. He was given IV fluids for dehydration and steriods for his respiratory distress from the GERD. He suffered some acute life threatening events while on the monitors where he had long pauses in breathing. The steriods seemed to help as he didn't do it again after they were administered. They gave him some meds to help heal his throat and hopefully help him resume eating. He is completely hoarse and they say that is from the GERD and we have to take it up with the GI who is currently out of town. So please keep us in your prayers that Aidan will start to feel better soon and start eating again. We will keep you posted when we are finally able to talk to the GI.
