Jeremy's Half Marathon
Jeremy ran the Achieve the Dream Marathon in Williamsburg last weekend. He completed this one in a little over two hours which is a little off his personal best but right where he thought he would be given his training over the last few months. We are so proud of him and enjoyed a great weekend down in Williamsburg. The race benefited the wounded warrior program and they had hundreds of wounded cyclists do the marathon too which is just amazing to see these people overcome the odds they have been dealt with such strength. Totally inspiring to see.
More Baseball Pics
Here are a few more pictures from baseball. The top one is from picture day. The bottom three are from Little League night at the Potomac Nationals. There team got to get autographs from the players before the game and then stand on the field with the players during the National Anthem. The boys had a blast and didn't sit still the entire game. They just ran up and down the bleachers and on the bottom the whole time. It was a beautiful night for baseball though.

Today we did the Bike DC family ride for Mother's Day. The only way I could convince Jeremy to do anything of this nature was to have it be on Mother's Day and tell him it was my day so I get to pick what we do. But despite a grumbly start from all the boys at 6:00 AM we had a wonderful time. We hit Dunkin Donuts on the way into the city and then met up with a gang of friends and their kids. Aidan rode on a tandem on the back of Jeremy's bike which was nice because he never would have made the 11 miles. Nick struggled the last 2-3 miles but he did it and was so proud at the finish line. We got to see many new sites along the way that we hadn't seen yet which was fun. We finally saw the Air Force Memorial up close. You can see it off of 395 every time you go into the city but it has the most amazing view from the top. We also saw the Iwo Jima Memorial which is really amazing up close. The ride also directly went by the White House, Capital, Washington Monument, JFK Memorial, and many of the other major buildings in DC. It was a wonderful, healthy way to start Mother's Day. We enjoyed the rest stops(especially the candy at them) and all the wonderful people we met along the way. Hope everyone is enjoying this fantastic weather and getting spoiled by their families.

Happy Early Mother's Day
Today I went to a Mother's Day tea with Aidan at his school. They sang us all these cute songs about how much they love their Mom. So sweet! Then they took us to their classroom where the kids served us fruit salad and cookies and lemonade. Then they read us a story and gave us the present they made us which was so adorable. It came with a sweet poem on it as well as a little saying about the bow on the bag they decorated was the exact height of our children. It was a wonderful day and I can't believe my little man will be in Kindergarten full day next year. I am going to miss our quality time together so much. To all the Moms in my life thank you for the wonderful inspirations you are and all the wonderful encouragement you give to me to help me remember that this stage is going to pass so quickly and that I need to stay plugged in and enjoy both the good and the bad. Happy Mother's Day! I miss you all so much.
First Potomac Nationals Game of the Season
A few weeks ago we went to our first Potomac Nationals game of the season. We had a good time despite it getting a little chilly after the sun set. Nick won one of the crowd games which he loved and got a t-shirt from the shooter gun so he was super happy. We already have a couple more nights on our calendar from baseball and cub scouts. Go Nationals!
Random Pictures of the Boys
These are just a few random pictures from the last few months. The first few are from Caleb's birthday party and the last one is from the last day of Lego Club at school.
My LIttle Cowboy
Aidan got a real cowboy hat from our neighbors for getting their newspapers while they were in Texas. He loves it. He didn't take it off for a whole week which is why he is wearing it at his friend Caleb's birthday party. He is always playing cowboys now all he needs now is a pair of boots and a big belt buckle.
